c.1890 Otto von Bismarck Enamelled Armorial Wine Glass

An exceptional and tall wine glass in pale olive, the bowl set on an ornate prunted, knopped and hollow tapered stem ending in a stepped conical base. The bowl features the coat of arms of Otto von Bismarck (1815-1898) masterfully hand enamelled in polychrome, with additional circle and dot designs in blue and white, the stem is embellished with similar designs, as well as dot bands in gold-yellow and plain rings in cream, the prunts are highlighted with white and red dots. Condition: stand wear to the under-base, very minor rubbing to the decoration; nothing further found. Circa 1890, unmarked, quite possibly Fritz Heckert. Height 23cm/9.06in, bowl diameter 8cm/3.15in. Second identical glass also available.
