A stylish blue glass decanter of globe form on a wide facet cut solid base, the body engraved with stylised leaf and berry clusters between geometric line forms. The decanter has a facet cut black stopper and comes with six associated glasses, the latter with ovoid bowls on bead stems and conical feet. Condition: some surface age and use wear; nothing further found; stopper and base stylus marked "27". Circa 1950s, possibly earlier, unmarked, probably Czechoslovakian. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Decanter height 20cm/8in, glasses height 9.7cm/3.75in.
