An Art Deco black amethyst bowl mounted with a striking patterned pewter band set with black amethyst cabochons. The bowl sits on a patterned tri-corn pewter tablet. Condition: some light surface age and use wear, mostly to the tablet; some light dimpling, again mostly to the tablet; nothing further found. Circa 1930s, probably Continental. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Bowl height 8.5cm/3.5in, diameter 19.5cm/7.75in, tablet length 30.5cm/12.25in.
