A splendid Art Deco rectangular opalescent dish with a wide rim and stepped edges. The dish is relief moulded with pine cones and needles, the well is embellished with a pine sprig. Condition: one or two small pits in the well; one or two tiny nicks to high points; minor surface marking and use wear; a few natural bubbles and mould striations; nothing further found; displays a good fire. Circa 1930s, moulded "Verlux" mark (used by Etling). Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 4cm/1.75in, width 35.5/14in, depth 24cm/9.5in.
