A splendid, tall, flashed amber Deco decanter and conforming stopper, the long bell form upper section over a lightly waisted pedestal lower section. The crystal is cut to clear with lenses, fans, blazes and notches, the neck is mounted with a plated collar, the under-base is embellished with a sixteen point star. Condition: some stand wear to the under-base; one or two tiny nicks to high points; light surface age and use wear; a few natural bubbles in the glass; nothing further found. Circa 1930s, almost certainly Josephinenhütte. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Decanter height 43.5cm/17in, width 10cm/4in, base diameter 9cm/3.75in.
