A clear over amethyst example from Baccarat's "Le Medaillier" sulphide series, featuring a head and shoulders portrait of Cardinal Richelieu. The clear upper section is optic cut with lenses, the amethyst base is embellished with a multi-point star. Condition: minor wear; nothing further found. 1977, fully acid marked to the base.
