A striking blue over topaz vase with a trumpet rim and lightly ribbed upper section over a ringed bowl lower section. The vase is cut to clear with rectangle stacks. Condition: stand wear to the under-base, one or two very tiny nicks to high points; light surface wear; nothing further found. Circa 1930s, unmarked, but definitely Val St. Lambert and probably designed by Joseph Simon. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 20cm/7.75in, rim diameter 15cm/6in, weight 1.6kg/3.53lb.
