An exceptional Art Nouveau waisted cobalt glass vase cased in a copper mount, the latter with stylised floral, whiplash stem, and pillar decoration on a whorl pattern ground. Condition: light rubbing to the decoration; light surface age and use wear; nothing further found. Circa 1900, unmarked but definitely Val St. Lambert, designed by Leon Ledru. Dimensions based on centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 28.5cm/11.25in, rim diameter 8cm73.25in, base diameter 11cm/4.5in.
