A stylish Art Deco mantel clock on a marble base, featuring a black patinated metal charging elephant next to a Marti movement marble surround clock. Condition: light age and use wear; light rubbing to the black patination; nothing further found; clock functional, eight day movement. Circa 1930s, French, clock back plate impress marked "Marti 8 Jour". Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 17.5cm/7in, width 45.5cm/18in, depth 9cm/3.75in.
