An excellent circular porcelain scent bottle, with a cork lined sterling silver screw top and collar. The bottle is formed as a double sided plate decorated with the traditional Willow Pattern, the sides are embellished with a cross hatch design. Condition: very small manufacturing grit mark at the bottom of the neck; light yellowing to the porcelain; minor surface age and use wear; nothing further found; good screw fit. Base of the bottle has a registry number "29260", the silver top is hallmarked for London 1886, maker's mark "SM" for Sampson Mordan. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 5.5cm/2.25in, diameter 4.3cm/1.75in.
