An ovoid facet, diamond and blaze cut amber glass miniature scent bottle with an embossed silver hinged top, silver collar, and glass stopper. Condition: one or two nicks to high points and edges; light surface age and use wear; minor interior bloom; nothing further found; some hinge play but satisfactory closure. Circa 1880, probably Dutch, silver not hallmarked but tested for purity. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 4cm/1.5in.
