An unusual egg shaped porcelain scent bottle, with a cork lined ribbed brass screw top and brass collar. The milk ground body is decorated with a hand enamelled and gilt highlighted bird, flowers, leaf trails, trellis-work, as well as raised silver and gold gilt scrolls. Condition: minor rubbing to the decoration; minor wear; nothing further found; good screw closure. Circa 1900, possibly a little earlier, probably French. 6cm/2.36in high; 3.3cm/1.3in wide.
