A delightful miniature, probably copper, scent bottle, with a screw top and suspensory ring. The flask shape bottle is decorated with a raised gilded and engraved chrysanthemum motif to the front and a raised gilded butterfly to the back. Condition: some surface age and use wear; small spot of flux grey to the reverse; nothing further found; good screw closure. Circa 1900, probably Oriental. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 1.8cm/0.75in, width 1.5cm/0.5in.
