An appealing cranberry glass scent bottle of shouldered ovoid form, with a chimney neck below a facet cut clear stopper. The bottle features a white ground oval plaque finely hand painted with a lush flower head and leaf spray, the cranberry body is further embellished in gilt with flower stems, leaves and patterning. Condition: rubbing to the gilt, minor surface wear, light interior bloom; nothing further found; base and stopper gilt marked "9". Circa 1880-1900, Bohemian. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 15cm/6in. Second bottle available to make a pair.
