An excellent sterling silver cylinder scent bottle, with a hinged top and glass stopper. The bottle is engraved with leaf and flower sprays, and features a central shield shape vacant cartouche. Condition: one or two very small surface dimples; light surface age wear; nothing further found; hinge firm, good closure. Silver hallmarked for Birmingham 1886, maker's mark "R&R. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 4.5cm/1.75in.
