A delightful flask shape carnelian scent bottle, with a silver gilt foliate embossed hinged top, silver gilt collar, glass stopper, and suspensory chain. Condition: light age and use wear; nothing further found; minor hinge play but good firm closure. Circa 1870, French, silver hallmarked with a boar's head. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 4.5cm/1.75in, width 3cm/1.25in.
