A pale cream-green Art Nouveau tile with a central relief stylised double flower head, bud, stem and leaf design in burnt-orange, pale caramel and pale steel blue on a mid olive-brown ground. Condition: small glaze losses and edge chips left; two tiny edge nicks top; minor surface wear; minor glaze crazing; nothing further found. Circa 1905, English, maker unknown, registration number to the reverse, plus "England" and "S" in the top left hand corner. 17cm/6.75in square including frame.
