An Art Nouveau relief pressed polychrome tile featuring a stylised rose and shield design in dark pink and pale blue on a dark green ground. Condition: one or two tiny edge nibbles; glaze losses to outline high points; light surface wear; typical glaze crazing; nothing further found. Circa 1910, marked to the reverse for Hemixem, Belgium. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. 15cm/6in square.
