A relief moulded Art Nouveau tile in light grey, featuring a young fisherman on deck at sea, with the horizon in the distance, the image framed within a circle with further stylised designs to the corners. Condition: chip bottom right; small edge chip top right; light wear; glaze crazing; one or two marks on the frame; nothing further found. Circa 1900, the reverse with relief mark for Wessel Bonn, Germany. Framed ready for hanging. Article measured in centimetres and rounded to the nearest quarter inch. 14.5cm/5.75in square.
